Rice Water Duo Sampler - NC

So everyone's hair is different. So I'm basing this review on my own hair. So my hair is getting thin and I saw Kitsch Rice water shampoo bars. Now, this is my first time using it so I wanted to try it. First impression, it made my hair silky and was growing. However a couple washes later I felt it dry and I started to have dandruff (maybe dry scalp) after I do my washes. I usually wash twice a week but now I only use this maybe two wash a month. It makes my hair too squeaky clean so I have to space it out. I still use my bottle of natural shampoo and conditioner. This defeats the purpose to transition bottle to bars. It just means the rice water may not be suitable for my type of hair. However it has helped grow my hair. I will be trying other types. Oh and this was a free sample. I already own the Rice water Shampoo and conditioner bars.

The shampoo bar cleans well enough and has lots of suds. The creme rise bar however does not work well in my hair. My hair is tangled and It seems I have to use a lot of it to even cover it completely. I have not noticed any new hair growth but I have only been using it for a month or so.

I gave it to my housemate to try just to see if she liked it enough to keep going with it, cause I wasn't giving a big bar if she wasn't going to keep going with it!! she didn't like how small it was, she said it kept slipping out of her hand. (73) but she did like it and is now a rice duo user! She also has a very oily scalp but does not seem to be as much which is a plus!

Being older with thin fine shoulder length hair, I have found the Rice Water Duo makes my hair feel thicker and I am seeing new growth! I'm trying to decide if I want to buy the Tea Tree set because I've read on Kitsch FB page there can be protein buildup. I haven't noticed anything yet though.

I will say that the conditioning bar doesn't seem to last as long as the shampoo bar.

I have already recommended Kitsch to a family friend.

Never saw myself using shampoo bars.

I purchased the biotin shampoo and conditioner bars and at first I was skeptical and thought I wasn’t going to like the product but I actually do. It’s a little awkward rubbing a bar of shampoo over your head but you don’t need much and it lathers up good. I also purchased the conditioner bar which leaves my hair nicely conditioned without being greasy. I personally haven’t noticed any extra hair growth but I haven’t been paying attention to that recently. I was more concerned about my hair being dried out and brittle but that’s not happening with this product. I just purchased two more bars from Ulta. I also like that the bars last a long time and the bar holder was a good idea to get. I have to say the only thing I don’t like is that the conditioner bar melts faster than the shampoo bar and that’s the only reason I gave it 4 stars. Also I find that my hair stays cleaner longer. I tend to be on the oily side and usually have to wash my hair every day, but with this product, I can skip a day. If you’ve been thinking about trying this product, I recommend it.

Decided to try the rice water duo because it felt like my hair was thinning. Received the sampler set and ordered a couple of sets. I’m very pleased. My short silver/gray hair is shining like a new time, is silky and styles very easy. As for the thinning part I have a lot of new growth, so I’m very pleased!

I really like this idea of bar soap , rather than liquid. This is only third week of twice a shampoo.

My scalp has itched a lot, which is unusual for me. Should this be a concern?
